Advanced Technical Sessions

Consona’s talented product experts will be available during and after the conference to lead advanced technical sessions that will help you get to the heart of your Consona application. Take advantage of these hands-on workshops to delve deep into the software and build innovative solutions to your unique business challenges. Make sure to bring your laptop so that you can practice while you learn.

Choose from our series of 1-hour sessions during the conference or the more in-depth post-conference sessions, a 4-hour block on Thursday (May 17) afternoon, that cover the same information! These workshops are being offered for a nominal, one-time fee of $200 to attend any andall advanced technical sessions.

You can become a system guru and still have time for networking, one-on-one consulting sessions and educational breakout sessions. Learn how these advanced technical sessions fit into your conference schedule on the breakout session pages.

SQL Server Administration Workshops
This information will be presented in three breakout sessions throughout the conference then again in a four hour post-conference block on Thursday afternoon. This training will begin with an introduction to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and its architecture. It will be particularly beneficial to system administrators and IT personnel. Attendees will participate in a detailed discussion about:

  • SQL Versions 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2.

Advanced Report Writing Workshop
Advanced Reporting Writing will only be presented on Thursday afternoon during the post-conference workshop hours. This training will be intended for those who are interested in a technical report writing session. It would be expected that users would have a copy of Advanced Reporting. By the end of the session, you will be able to:
  • Create a detailed 12-month rolling income statement.
  • Create a combination actual vs. budget for current and year-to-date.
    • Including importing a new budget.
  • Create a margin by Item Group (inmast.fgroup) report.
    • This report will subtotal by item group (more commonly used than item class) the margin and percent margin generated.
  • Create a percentage late report.
    • This report is a breakdown on a monthly basis of the number and value of orders shipped on time vs. late.
    • This will combine many aspects of technical writing, as we will both create a custom SQL view and import the same view into Advanced Reporting.
