Customer Panel |  | This interactive session will focus on little-used functionality within the AXIOM system that can help you increase productivity. This session will provide an opportunity for you to explore functionality, demonstrated by fellow users, and gain knowledge of these functions so as to consider using the same functionality at your company. You’ll also have an opportunity to share ideas with fellow users and provide input on the direction of AXIOM through discussions led by our staff.

- Create a detailed report combined with Business Intelligence Cell.
- Create an Interactive Report and Dashboards.

| 1:15 PM - 2:30 PM |  | GEN 203 - Get More Out of AXIOM - Driving Executive Information |  | This session will focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are utilized by executives and senior management at typical metals and cable/wire manufacturers. The first objective is to identify dashboard metrics that C-level executives and senior managers need to gage and steer organization performance. Once metrics are identified, the second objective will be to show AXIOM’s various reporting tools and discuss how these tools can be utilized to provide typical metrics. Our final objective will be to present and discuss future AXIOM "dashboard" features. This session will provide an opportunity to share ideas with fellow users and offer input on the direction of the product.
** The session is intended for any AXIOM user who is either a consumer or provider of performance metrics.

|  | PROD 203 - AXIOM Advanced Reporting - Financial Reporting |  | This session will focus on the functions and features available to generate financial statements in AXIOM Advanced Reporting. By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Create and format financial reports.
- Create financial statements using accounting cells.
- Create financial statements utilizing AXIOM budgets.
- Use various formatting options within a financial statement.
** Prerequisite for this session is a basic understanding of accounting structure used in AXIOM.

| 4:15 PM - 5:30 PM |  | PROD 105 - AXIOM 6.1 Vendor Claims |  | This session will help you say “goodbye” to all of your workarounds for vendor claims and say “hello” to the new Vendor Claim functionality in AXIOM 6.1. This great new functionality is the result of a customer-driven feature team, meaning thatthe functional requirements for the new features came directly from people who know their process the best — AXIOM customers! By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Create vendor claims.
- Disposition vendor claims.
- Process financial transactions for vendor claims.
- Report on vendor claims.
- Integrate AXIOM into your vendor claim business process.

|  | PROD 205 - Best Practices for AXIOM Finance |  | This session will focus on month-end closing processes and the impact of AP transactions on actual cost transactions. The session will conclude with a roundtable discussion of future requirements within finance. Topics will include:
- Reviewing the month-end processes and their relevance to the overall system.
- How accounts payable transactions impact actual cost transactions and when costs are finalized.
- Roundtable discussions on future requirements within Financial modules.
**Prerequisite for this session is an understanding of AXIOM Finance.

Wednesday | 8:00 AM - 9:15 AM |  | PROD 206 - Getting the Most Out of AXIOM Logistics Today and Tomorrow |  | This session will review all functions dealing with logistics management within AXIOM, including truck scheduling and status, carriers, SPLC and simplified shipping. Customers will also be able to submit ideas for enhancements to the total logistics management function that may be included in future software releases. Walkthroughs and examples will be reviewed during the session. This session is ideal for all metals, wire and cable customers. By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of existing logistics functionality within AXIOM as well as potential enhancements for future releases.
**Prerequisites for this session include an interest in logistics functionality and/or responsibility for same.

|  | PROD 306 - AXIOM Advanced Reporting - Building Spheres |  | This session will provide an in-depth look at how you can create your own spheres in AXIOM Advanced Reporting. Spheres are the main building blocks used by Advanced Reporting to map data to the AXIOM database so that end users can create complex reports without a detailed understanding of databases and query languages. While the product ships with a set of pre-built spheres (more are being added), there may be times where you want to go outside the box, and this session will help you get there on your own. By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Use an AXIOM export as a sphere.
- Create a sphere from a SQL view in the AXIOM database.
- Manage SQL catalogs to set up access to other databases.
- Use SQL catalogs to join tables in multiple databases.
- Create new SQL views and assign privileges.
- Add user data to SQL views for use in AXIOM Advanced Reporting reports.
** Prerequisites for this session include an understanding of AXIOM Advanced Reporting concepts and SQL (recommended).

|  | PROD 309 - Database Tuning with OE 10 & App Server |  | Who wouldn’t want to make their system faster without buying new hardware? This session will be part how-to and part customer panel. The customer panel will focus on success stories of how we have helped them tune their database and what improvements they achieved. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss best practices when using OpenEdge 10 and AppServer. This session is perfect for attendees with the following job roles: power user, report writer and/or database administrator. By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Understand what tuning parameters are available in your version of OpenEdge (Progress).
- Optimize these settings.
- Know what reports to run to determine if a dump and load is necessary.
- Prepare your users for a successful database-tuning experience.

|  | GEN 310 - Disaster Recovery with Progress |  | Are you prepared for your next unscheduled outage? This session will be part how-to and part customer experiences. We will discuss best practices, as well as how to secure your database, application and hardware from failure. We will also review backup procedures online, offline and incremental. Finally, we’ll take a close look at what block device backups do and why they are okay to “snapshot” your database, whereas typical OS backups require you to shut down the database. This session is perfect for attendees with these job roles: systems and/or database administrators. By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Understand what the online backup process backs up, and how to increase the frequency of the backup, if necessary.
- What is AI and why you should implement it.
- What is replication and why you should have a duplicate system offsite, if you choose to implement it.
